Since joining Tool in 2011, Fuselier has curated the company’s roster to boast groundbreaking Directors such as Marc Forster, Philip Montgomery, Emmy award winner Danielle Levitt, Martin Aamund, the Schaffers and James Wan. He brings to his post an enterprising spirit that reaches beyond traditional advertising models and, as such, his tenure has borne exciting new projects with unprecedented scope and breadth, including his collaboration with San Francisco-based online media and e-commerce platform Brit + Co, as well as Go-Pro’s first television commercial. He has overseen a vast array of AR, AI, VR, and live-stream projects, including the 360 film ‘Eyes on Gigi’ for Director Marc Forster (the #1 most-viewed 360 ad on Youtube in 2016), a 360-VR experience for Adidas starring James Harden, and a groundbreaking new project for Oculus helmed by one of our latest artist signings, Kevin Cornish.
Fuselier boasts over 20 years of experience as a Producer, counting legendary directors David Fincher, Mike Mills, Kinka Usher, Michael Bay and numerous others among his many collaborators. Under his leadership at Tool, he has overseen a steady stream of live action, interactive, and 360-VR content, including the acclaimed integrated executions Hennessy & Clouds Over Cuba (Dir. Ben Tricklebank), JAM with Chrome, and Take This Lollipop; VR-driven projects for MS Society (W&K Portland) and Infiniti (CP+B); as well as spots most recently for Geico, SoFi, Microsoft, Go Daddy, Under Armour, Keystone Light, Mini, and Airbnb’s first ever broadcast campaign. Fuselier has served on the west board of the AICP and won many awards for his work, including Emmys, Webbys, Clios, VMAs, and the AICP Next Award, as well as honors from the FWA and SXSW. He recently served as a juror for the Ciclope Festival in both Mexico and Berlin and for the London International Awards.
Since Fuselier’s promotion to Managing Partner of Live Action, he has added a handful of young up-and-coming Directors to the roster, such as Danielle Levitt, Rachel McDonald, Shawn Zeytinoglu, and Brig White, a method that Fuselier employed to keep the landscape current and relevant. Shortly after Tool was named to Creativity and Advertising Age’s prestigious Production Company A-List in 2015 (and again in 2016), Fuselier led the company to its first ever Cannes Palme d’Or win for Production Company of the Year. Fuselier, in partnership with Dustin Callif, recently brought Executive Producer of VR & 360 Julia Sourikoff on board as part of an ongoing mission toward Tool’s new media capabilities, including AI, AR, and VR. Fuselier has used his versatile experience to give VR and industry-related talks at various agencies and conferences around the world.
