Sandipan Bhattacharyya

According to the ancient Indian lunar calendar, he will be an iconic global phenomenon by 2018. Of course, the lunar calendar also predicted the Mayans would set up the first lunar colony and therefore, isn’t very reliable.

Prior to Grey, he helped set up BBDO in India and built a robust creative reputation for it in just under 8 years.

He passionately believes in cultural osmosis. But fervently hates pretentious jargon, so calls it a mash-up of advertising and pop culture instead.

His spectrum of work on PepsiCo, GE, Wrigley’s, P&G Gillette, Aviva and Radio City has consistently won at Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clio Awards, Spikes Asia Pacific, Adfest, Effies and AMEs, besides being featured in The Work and the Shots compilation of best Indian TV ads. His recent campaign for Radio City won a Grand Prix at Spikes, as well as, a One Show Pencil.

He’s been a vocal critic of perfunctory cause-crusading and metal-mongering with ideas for good. His video appeal to the Cannes Lions jury, questioning the ethics of public service advertising, is a well-debated point of view.

He’s been on the jury at Spikes APAC and Adfest, apart from judging film multiple times in prestigious Indian award shows like the Abbys and Goafest. He’s also a member of the Grey Global Creative Council.

In his spare time, Sandi is sufficiently amused at how people refer to themselves in the third person, while writing a self-congratulatory profile.

Paul Wauters

Paul Wauters started his advertising life as a 30-year old junior copywriter, after he discovered he sucked at finance. The first two assignments in his new and exciting life got him nominated for radio and copywriting awards, and these would remain forever his favorite categories.

At Duval Guillaume Brussels, radio was sacred and he learned from the best in the business. In 2003, he was made Creative Director at Famous Brussels, which became Agency of the Year 3 times in 5 years, and Paul was voted Creative of the Year. In 2009, he moved to Italy to lead the creative departments of TBWA Rome and Milan. Then he moved on to Paris, to co-found Being for TBWA, which became Integrated Agency of the Year in its second year. Today he is partner of the fastest growing independent agency in Paris, Babel.

He has won numerous national and international awards and sat on radio juries of Cannes Lions, LIA, D&AD, Dubai Lynx, Sharks and the Creative Club of Belgium.

Outside of agency life, his creative collective has supercharged the old-fashioned radio play, turned it into a contemporary entertainment medium and even a commercial success. So far, he has written 11 best-selling audio plays and a musical. His latest audio play, an adaptation for kids of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, topped the 2015 Belgian book charts.
